CHLUMIAO® 330 Usage

1. Antioxidant 330 is a high molecular weight multifunctional hindered phenolic antioxidant, with no colouring, low volatility, high temperature resistance, anti-extraction, good electrical insulation and high antioxidant efficiency. The synergistic effect is remarkable when used in combination with phosphate ester antioxidant and thioester antioxidant. It is suitable for linear polyester, polyamide, polyurethane, styrene resin, adhesive, elastomer, especially for polyethylene, polypropylene, polybutylene, wire and cable, dielectric film under high temperature processing. The general dosage is 0.1-0.5%.

2. Suitable for use in: polyethylene, polypropylene, polystyrene, ABS resin, polyamide, polyester, synthetic rubber, high temperature adhesives and other polymers, with outstanding processing stability and long-lasting protection of products.

Antioxidant 330 Application scenarios

1. High-Temperature Processing and Long-Term Stabilization of Polyolefins:

Used for pipes, films, fibers, and injection molded parts made from polypropylene (PP), polyethylene (LDPE, HDPE, LLDPE), and olefin copolymers (EVA). Suitable for high-temperature processes such as extrusion, injection molding, and blow molding, it inhibits thermo-oxidative degradation and yellowing, maintaining melt stability and mechanical properties. Particularly suitable for long-term applications such as wire and cable insulation, food packaging, and appliance housings.

2. High-Temperature Stabilization of Engineering Plastics:

Compatible with polyamides (PA6, PA66), polyesters (PET, PBT), and polyoxymethylene (POM), preventing thermal degradation and yellowing during high-temperature processing, maintaining material appearance and mechanical properties. Suitable for high-temperature components such as automotive parts and electronic connectors.

3. Styrene and ABS Resins:

Applied to polystyrene (PS), ABS, and high-impact polystyrene (HIPS), preventing thermo-oxidative aging during processing and use, maintaining product appearance and mechanical properties. Suitable for injection-molded/extruded products such as electronic housings and appliance components.

4. Elastomers and Rubber Products:

Used in natural rubber, synthetic rubber (such as EPDM, SBS, SEBS), and elastomers to prevent oxidative aging during processing, storage, and use. Suitable for tires, seals, hoses, and other products, with good extraction resistance.

5. Food Contact Materials:

Complies with FDA and other relevant safety standards. Can be used in food contact plastics and packaging materials to inhibit thermo-oxidative degradation during processing and use, ensuring material safety and stability.

6. Wire and Cable Insulation Materials:

Suitable for polyolefin cable insulation layers, improving thermo-oxidative stability during high-temperature processing and long-term use, maintaining electrical insulation performance. Suitable for high and low voltage wires and cables, communication cables, and other applications.

7. Adhesives and Hot Melt Adhesives:

As a primary antioxidant additive in adhesives, hot melt adhesives, and pressure-sensitive adhesives, it inhibits oxidation of resins, tackifiers, and other components, preventing discoloration and thickening, and improving storage stability and bond durability.

8. Coatings and Inks:

Used in polyester powder coatings, industrial coatings, inks, etc., to prevent oxidative yellowing during baking, curing, and storage, improving coating color stability and weather resistance. Suitable for surface protection of coated parts in construction, home appliances, automobiles, and other fields.

9. Synergistic Effect of Composite Stabilizing Systems:

Often combined with phosphite-based auxiliary antioxidants (such as 168) and hindered amine light stabilizers (HALS) to construct highly efficient antioxidant-weather-resistant systems, suitable for outdoor weather-resistant products and polymer materials used for long-term high-temperature applications.
