CHLUMIAO® 1076 Usage

Antioxidant 1076 is a hindered phenolic antioxidant with good compatibility, low volatility, good dispersion, low migration, good thermal stability and high antioxidant efficiency. It is suitable for polyethylene, polypropylene, polybutylene, polycarbonate, polystyrene, ABS resin, adhesive and elastomer. General dosage is 0.1-0.5%.

Antioxidant 1076 can effectively inhibit thermal and oxidative degradation of polymers when used in conjunction with antioxidants 168 and DLTP, with significant synergistic effects.

Antioxidant 1076 Application scenarios

1. Polyolefin Processing:

Compatible with LDPE, HDPE, LLDPE, PP (homopolymer/copolymer), etc., inhibiting thermo-oxidative degradation in high-temperature processes such as extrusion, injection molding, and blow molding, maintaining the mechanical properties and appearance of products. For agricultural films, pipes, injection molded parts, etc., the dosage is 0.05%-0.2%. The effect is even better when compounded with antioxidant 168.

2. General-Purpose Plastics and Engineering Plastics:

Used in PS, ABS, AS, PC, PA, POM, PBT, PET, etc., preventing oxidation discoloration and performance degradation during processing and use. Suitable for appliance housings, automotive parts, etc., the dosage is 0.1%-0.5%, especially suitable for white/light-colored products.

3. Synthetic Rubber and Elastomers:

Used in natural rubber and synthetic rubbers such as styrene-butadiene rubber, nitrile rubber, butadiene rubber, chloroprene rubber, and polyurethane to inhibit thermo-oxidative aging, improve the heat and weather resistance of vulcanized rubber, and prevent cracking and loss of elasticity. Usage in seals, conveyor belts, tires, etc.: 0.1%-1.0%.

4. Food Contact Materials:

Used in food contact films, containers, bottle caps, etc., such as PE and PP, to prevent packaging aging and prevent food contamination. Usage: 0.05%-0.3%.

5. Petrochemicals and Oils:

As an antioxidant additive in lubricating oils, hydraulic oils, transformer oils, fuel oils, etc., to inhibit oxidative rancidity, viscosity increase, and gum formation, extending service life. Recommended usage in transformer oil: approximately 0.3%.

6. Synthetic Fibers and Textiles:

Used in synthetic fibers such as polyester, nylon, and polyacrylonitrile to prevent thermo-oxidative degradation during spinning and post-processing, maintaining fiber strength and whiteness. Usage: 0.05%-0.3%.

7. Adhesives and Sealants:

Used in epoxy, polyurethane, acrylic, and other adhesives and sealants to prevent oxidation during curing and use, improve bond strength and aging resistance, suitable for construction, automotive, and other fields. Dosage: 0.1%-0.5%.

8. Coatings and Inks:

Added to solvent-based coatings, powder coatings, and oil-based inks to inhibit resin and pigment oxidation, prevent discoloration, loss of gloss, and sedimentation, and extend storage and service life. Dosage: 0.05%-0.3%.

9. Oils and Feed:

Used in edible oils and oils for frying foods to delay oxidative rancidity according to standards; also used in feed to protect vitamins and oils.
