Antioxidant 1024 Application scenarios

1. Wire and Cable Insulation and Sheathing:

Suitable for insulation layers and sheaths of polyethylene (LDPE, HDPE), cross-linked polyethylene (XLPE), polypropylene, and elastomers (such as EPDM). Effectively inhibits catalytic oxidation by metals such as copper, improves processing thermal stability and long-term insulation performance. Compatible with carbon black-filled systems, resistant to migration and easily dispersed.

2. Polyolefin Products:

Used for injection molded parts, pipes, films, etc., of polypropylene (homopolymer/copolymer) and polyethylene, preventing thermo-oxidative degradation during processing and use. Especially suitable for talc-filled systems, and can be compounded with antioxidant 1010 for synergistic stabilizing effects.

3. Polyamide and Acetal Materials:

Suitable for polyamides such as nylon 6 and nylon 66, and polyoxymethylene (POM). Inhibits thermo-oxidative aging during processing and long-term use, prevents degradation caused by metal ions (such as catalyst residue), and maintains the material’s original color and mechanical properties.

4. Rubber and Elastomers:

Applied to natural rubber, synthetic rubber (such as NBR, EPDM, SBS), and elastomers to prevent oxidative aging during processing, storage, and use. Suitable for rubber hoses in contact with fuel oil (such as NBR fuel hoses), offering excellent extraction resistance.

5. Polyester and Synthetic Resins:

Used in synthetic resins such as polyester, polystyrene (PS), ABS, and phenolic resins to inhibit thermo-oxidative degradation and metal ion-catalyzed oxidation, maintaining the appearance and mechanical properties of products. Suitable for injection molding, extrusion, and other molding processes.

6. Hot Melt Adhesives and Adhesives:

As an antioxidant and metal deactivating additive in hot melt adhesives, pressure-sensitive adhesives, and other adhesives, it inhibits the oxidation of resins, tackifiers, and other components, preventing discoloration and thickening, and improving storage stability and bond durability.

7. Coatings and Polymer Additives:

Used in coatings, inks, and polymer processing aid systems to prevent oxidative degradation, extend shelf life, maintain product performance stability, and suit various coating and processing techniques.

8. Food Contact Materials:

Due to its low toxicity, non-coloring, and non-polluting properties, it can be used in food contact grade plastics and packaging materials, meeting relevant safety standards such as the FDA, ensuring the safety of the materials during use.

9. Composite Stabilizing Systems:

It can be compounded with phosphite-based auxiliary antioxidants, hindered amine light stabilizers (HALS), and thioether-based antioxidants to construct highly efficient stabilizing systems, improving the weather resistance and anti-aging properties of polymer materials, suitable for outdoor products.
