Description

CHLUMIAO® TNPP Usage

1. TNPP, as a liquid phosphite antioxidant, exhibits excellent compatibility, low volatility, and outstanding thermal stability, significantly enhancing the processing properties and service life of polymers. This product demonstrates good dispersibility, low migration, and high antioxidant efficiency, maintaining material properties effectively even during multiple processing cycles.

2. When blended with hindered phenolic antioxidants, TNPP demonstrates significant synergistic effects, collectively enhancing the material’s resistance to ageing. It is widely applicable across diverse rubber and plastic systems, including natural rubber, synthetic rubber, latex, HDPE, LLDPE, SBR, ABS, PVC, and PUR. It performs particularly well within barium-cadmium, barium-zinc, and metal chelation systems, effectively inhibiting catalytic degradation induced by metal ions.

3. With a recommended dosage of 0.2%–1.0%, TNPP serves as an ideal additive for enhancing product recyclability, processing stability, and colour stability.

Antioxidant TNPP Application scenarios

1. Polyolefin Processing Stabilization:

Used in the regeneration, drying, and blending processes of polyolefins such as HDPE, LLDPE, and PP, it inhibits thermo-oxidative degradation, gel formation, and viscosity increase, improving color stability. It can be used in food contact polyolefin packaging materials, often in synergy with hindered phenolic antioxidants.

2. Styrene and ABS Resin Protection:

Suitable for polystyrene, high-impact polystyrene (HIPS), and ABS resins, preventing performance degradation and discoloration caused by thermo-oxidative aging during processing and use, ensuring stable appearance and mechanical properties of products.

3. Rubber Anti-aging and Modification:

As an antioxidant for natural rubber, styrene-butadiene rubber (SBR), butadiene rubber, and nitrile rubber, it improves heat resistance, oil resistance, cold resistance, and scorch resistance. Used in tires, hoses, rubber sheets, food adhesives, colored transparent adhesives, and various oil seals, offering advantages in both compatibility and processability.

4. PVC and Rubber-Plastic Blends:

In PVC products, it acts as a complexing stabilizer, inhibiting thermal decomposition and discoloration during processing. In rubber-plastic blends, it functions as a plasticizer, optimizing processing performance and stability.

5. Engineering Plastic Stabilizer:

Used in engineering plastics such as polyester, epoxy resin, and polyamide 6 (PA6) to prevent oxidative degradation during processing and use. In the preparation of flame-retardant nanocomposites, it can be combined with Irganox to protect materials like PA6 and enhance thermal stability and mechanical properties.

6. Elastomer and Adhesive Protection:

Applied to elastomers such as SBS and SBR, as well as various adhesives, it inhibits thermo-oxidative degradation, extends service life, and maintains stable elasticity and adhesion properties.

7. Industrial Greases and Mineral Oil Antioxidant:

Added to industrial lubricants and mineral oils, it inhibits oil oxidation and deterioration, extends oil change intervals, and protects equipment from corrosion by oxidation products.

8. Auxiliary Modification of Polymer Composites:

Used as a chain extender in melt blending of hydroxybutyrate-hydroxyvalerate copolymer clay nanocomposites, etc., to improve polymer viscosity, help enhance composite material performance, and expand application potential in packaging materials and other fields.
