Application Instructions

A phenolic and environmentally friendly trialkane phosphite ester antioxidant. It is applicable to a variety of polymers, including polyurethane coatings, polyolefins, ABS, PVC, PET and lubricating oils, etc. It can provide good color improvement and thermal stability in both processing and later applications. As an efficient auxiliary stabilizer and chelating agent, it can be used in both rigid and flexible PVC materials, providing them with brighter and more uniform colors, and enhancing the transparency and thermal stability of the products. When applied in polyurethane foam, it can provide oxidation protection and reduce the risk of foam core burning and combustion, and has good anti-phenolic yellowing and anti-nox yellowing effects. Suggested addition amount: 0.1-2.0%

Antioxidant TDP Application scenarios

1. PVC Product Processing:

As a heat stabilizer and antioxidant, it inhibits the thermal decomposition of PVC during extrusion and injection molding, reducing HCl release. The addition amount is 0.1-0.5 phr. Suitable for pipes, films, and profiles, improving the heat and weather resistance of products.

2. Polyolefin Material Modification:

In combination with phenolic antioxidants (such as Irganox 1010) in a 1:1 ratio for PP and PE, it inhibits oxidative degradation during processing and use, protecting molecular weight and mechanical properties. Used in automotive bumpers, appliance housings, and food packaging films.

3. Elastomers and Rubber Products:

As an antioxidant and metal passivator in elastomers such as SBS, EPDM, SBR, and CR, it prevents thermo-oxidative aging and metal ion-catalyzed degradation. Suitable for sealing strips, tires, and hoses used in long-term outdoor or high-temperature applications.

4. Wire and Cable Materials:

By chelating copper and iron ions, it exerts a metal passivation effect, inhibiting the catalytic oxidation of the insulation layer by the copper core/steel armor, thus improving the long-term aging resistance and insulation reliability of cables. It is particularly suitable for cross-linked PE and PVC insulation systems.

5. Lubricating Oils and Metalworking Fluids:

As an extreme pressure anti-wear additive, phosphorus forms a protective film on the metal surface, reducing friction and wear. It is often used in synergy with ZDDP in industrial gear oils, hydraulic oils, and cutting fluids to improve stability under heavy loads and boundary lubrication conditions.

6. Coatings and Adhesives:

It prevents pre-crosslinking of UV-cured coatings/adhesives during storage and curing, improving the weather resistance of alkyd resin coatings, extending the service life of outdoor coatings, and improving the stability of water-based/solvent-based systems.

7. Engineering Plastics and Composites:

Used in engineering plastics such as ABS, nylon, and PC/ABS, it inhibits thermo-oxidative degradation during high-temperature processing, maintaining the strength and appearance of products. It is suitable for applications requiring high stability, such as automotive parts and electronic housings.

8. OLED Material Synthesis:

As an organic synthesis intermediate, it is used for the protection of specific functional groups and selective reactions in OLED material preparation, ensuring material purity and photoelectric performance.

9. Anti-aging Compounding of Polymer Materials:

As an auxiliary antioxidant, it synergizes with hindered phenols and thioether antioxidants to construct a highly efficient anti-aging system, suitable for outdoor building materials and automotive exteriors with high weather resistance and heat resistance requirements.
