Application Instructions

A high-molecular-weight, high-phosphorus content polymeric phosphite ester antioxidant, mainly used to partially replace organotin stabilizers in non-toxic products such as PVC materials, films, and sheets. It can also be used as an oxygen-heat stabilizer in PE, PP, ABS and SBS, and as an auxiliary antioxidant. It has a strong ability to decompose hydrogen through oxides. It has a good synergistic effect with main antioxidants such as “1010”, which can enhance the antioxidant effect and reduce the product cost. When compounded with hindered phenolic antioxidants, it can be used in high molecular materials such as PVC and polyurethane. Suggested addition amount: 0.1-2.0%

Antioxidant 1500 Application scenarios

1. Polyolefin (PE/PP) Processing:

As an auxiliary antioxidant, it inhibits the thermal oxidative degradation of PE and PP during high-temperature processing such as extrusion and injection molding, reducing yellowing and mechanical property decline, improving the color stability and long service life of products. Suitable for films, pipes, injection molded parts, etc.

2. Polyvinyl Chloride (PVC) Stabilization:

It has both auxiliary antioxidant and chelating functions, suitable for rigid/flexible PVC, inhibiting processing thermal degradation and discoloration, especially suitable for pipes, profiles, wires and cables, films, and other products with high requirements for color stability.

3. ABS/HIPS Resin Protection:

It prevents the thermal oxidative degradation of ABS and HIPS during high-temperature processing, improves yellowing and mechanical degradation, and enhances the appearance and long-term stability of products such as electronic casings and automotive interiors.

4. Polyurethane (PU) Anti-yellowing:

Effectively inhibits phenolic yellowing and NOₓ yellowing in PU, improving thermal stability and anti-aging properties. Used in PU foams, elastomers, adhesives, coatings, etc., such as furniture foam, automotive seats, sealants, etc.

5. Synthetic Rubber Processing:

Compatible with SBS, SBR, NBR, BR, and other rubbers, inhibiting thermal oxidation during high-temperature mixing and vulcanization, reducing migration and extractability, and improving the durability of elastic yarns, carpet backings, sealants, etc.

6. Coating and Adhesive Systems:

Added to various coatings and adhesives, enhancing the weather resistance and heat resistance of coatings and adhesive layers, preventing oxidation, yellowing, and chalking during storage and use. Suitable for automotive coatings, industrial anti-corrosion coatings, structural adhesives, etc.

7. Other Polymer Materials:

Used in polyesters, polyamides (PA), polystyrene (PS), etc., it enhances processing and usage stability when combined with primary antioxidants. Suitable for textile fibers, engineering plastics, etc.

8. Synergistic Stabilizing Systems:

It produces a synergistic effect when combined with hindered phenolic primary antioxidants and UV absorbers, strengthening the overall anti-aging effect. The recommended addition level is typically 0.3% – 0.5%.
