PEP-36 Usage

Antioxidant PEP-36 is a double phosphate ester structured antioxidant with high temperature resistance, low volatility, migration resistance, anti-hydrolysis, good thermal stability, high antioxidant efficiency, as well as passivation of metal catalysis, inhibit gel formation, improve color stability and other characteristics. It has excellent synergistic effect when used with hindered phenol antioxidant. It is especially suitable for PC, PA, PS, PP, PPO, ABS, HDPE under high temperature processing, and the general dosage is 0.1-1.0%.

Antioxidant PEP-36 Application scenarios

1. Polyolefin Processing Stabilization:

Suitable for PP, HDPE, LLDPE, etc., inhibiting thermo-oxidative degradation in high-temperature processes such as extrusion, injection molding, and blown film molding, reducing discoloration and melt flow rate fluctuations, and maintaining mechanical properties. Ideal for agricultural films, pipes, automotive parts, etc. Better when combined with antioxidants 1010/1076.

2. Styrene Resin Anti-aging:

Used in PS, ABS, AS, etc., preventing oxidative yellowing and decreased impact strength during processing and use. Suitable for appliance casings, office supplies, etc., especially suitable for white/light-colored products.

3. Engineering Plastics High-Temperature Stabilization:

Used in PA, PC, PBT, PET, m-PPE, etc., inhibiting degradation and discoloration during high-temperature molding, improving long-term heat resistance. Suitable for electronic components, automotive interior parts, etc., with significant synergistic effects with phenolic antioxidants.

4. Food Contact Materials:

Used in food contact containers, films, and caps made of PP, PE, etc., complying with relevant EU, US, Japanese, and Chinese standards, preventing packaging aging and food contamination.

5. Synthetic Fiber Spinning Protection:

Used in synthetic fibers such as polyester and nylon, preventing thermo-oxidative degradation during spinning and post-processing, maintaining fiber strength and whiteness, suitable for clothing, industrial yarns, etc.

6. Rubber and Elastomer Anti-aging:

Used in natural rubber and synthetic rubbers such as styrene-butadiene, nitrile, and neoprene, inhibiting thermo-oxidative aging and metal-catalyzed degradation, improving the heat and weather resistance of vulcanized rubber, suitable for seals, conveyor belts, etc.

7. Adhesive and Sealant Stabilization:
Used in epoxy, polyurethane, acrylic, and other adhesives and sealants, preventing oxidation during curing and use, improving bond strength and aging resistance, suitable for construction, automotive, and other fields.

8. Antioxidant Properties in Coatings and Inks:

Added to solvent-based coatings, powder coatings, and oil-based inks, it inhibits resin oxidation, prevents discoloration, loss of gloss, and sedimentation, and extends storage and service life.

9. Wire and Cable Insulation:

Used in the insulation and sheathing materials of PVC, PE, PP, and other wires and cables, it inhibits thermo-oxidative degradation and copper-catalyzed aging, improving long-term safety.
