Performance Description

BCAT-E30C is a high-content organic bismuth catalyst synthesized through precise control, exhibiting the typical characteristics of eco-friendly bismuth catalysts:

◆ Safe and environmentally friendly; can replace organic lead, mercury, and tin in certain applications;

◆ Offers better hydrolytic stability compared to T9, but will still hydrolyze and fail in water-containing formulations; for hydrolytically stable catalysts, please select the AUCAT series.

◆ Promotes the NCO/OH reaction; in oil-based or water-based polyurethanes, it can to some extent reduce side reactions between water and the NCO group, thereby reducing CO₂ generation; however, its ability to reduce the selectivity of the isocyanate-water reaction is not as effective as that of CUCAT-HA/HAA/PD, etc.;

◆ Good compatibility; can be used alone or in combination with other organometallic compounds.

◆ Solvent-free and not classified as a VOC;

Widely used in the polyurethane industry, particularly in the CASE sector; especially recommended for applications such as synthetic TPU and synthetic PU resins.

Usage Instructions

When used in two-component polyurethane systems, it is recommended to add it to the polyol (P component) after dehydration and stir thoroughly;

When used for resin synthesis, add at the appropriate stage according to the process.

The general dosage is 0.02–0.8% by weight of the PU.

It is not recommended to add this product to the isocyanate component (Component I). If addition is necessary, compatibility and storage stability tests must be conducted beforehand.

Ensure the container is sealed immediately after use.

Specifications and Storage

HDPE plastic drums, 25/200 kg per drum. Store in a dry, cool warehouse, away from direct sunlight and rain. Shelf life is 24 months when unopened.
