Photoinitiator 2074 Application scenarios

1. UV Cationic Curing Coatings:

Used in UV-curing coatings for epoxy resins, vinyl ethers, and other systems, providing high-gloss, wear-resistant coatings for metal, glass, and plastic substrates. Especially suitable for thick films (>10μm) and high-pigment content systems, improving coating hardness, chemical resistance, and adhesion. Compatible with LED/mercury lamp UV curing systems.

2. Electronic Materials and Photolithography:

Used in microelectronic photoresists (such as SU-8 type epoxy photoresists), PCB solder masks, and encapsulation materials. Acts as a photoacid generator to initiate cationic polymerization, enabling fine pattern transfer, improving circuit insulation and moisture/heat resistance. Suitable for semiconductor and high-density PCB manufacturing.

3. Printing and Packaging Inks:

Used in lithographic printing plates and flexographic/screen printing UV inks, especially suitable for high-pigment inks and thick-film printing. Used in conjunction with photosensitizers (such as isopropyl thioxanthone) to improve curing efficiency and print weather resistance. Suitable for food-contact packaging printing.

4. Hybrid Photocuring Systems:

Used in free radical/cationic hybrid photocuring systems, suitable for photocuring adhesives, sealants, and composite materials. Combines the fast surface curing of free radical curing with the deep curing of cationic curing, improving overall product performance.
