Characteristics of  THFA

1. Strong adhesion to plastics (PC / PET / PVC), good adhesion to most plastic substrates.
2. THFA has good dilutability, strong resin opening power, better dilution ability and dispersibility than traditional monomers such as DPGDA, TMPTA, TPGDA, etc.
3. THFA has chemical resistance and weathering resistance.

THFA Applications

1. THFA can be used in UV coatings, inks and adhesives.
2. THFA has very low viscosity and good thinning ability, so it is recommended for systems requiring low viscosity, such as inkjet, screen printing, etc.
3. THFA can improve the adhesion to most plastic substrates, and is used in inks and coatings.
4. THFA has excellent chemical resistance and weathering resistance among monofunctional monomers, and appropriate addition will effectively improve the system resistance.

THFA Monomer Application scenarios

1. UV/EB Curing Coatings:

Used as a reactive diluent in coatings for substrates such as plastics (PC, ABS, etc.), metals, paper, and films, improving adhesion (especially to PC), flexibility, and water resistance. Suitable for low-shrinkage, bend-resistant coatings in applications such as consumer electronics casings, automotive interior parts, and flexible packaging.

2. Printing Inks:

Suitable for UV offset printing, flexographic printing, screen printing, and inkjet inks, improving pigment dispersion and adhesion to non-polar substrates, and reducing curing shrinkage. Suitable for applications requiring high environmental protection and printing quality, such as food packaging, labels, and metal cans.

3. UV Curing Adhesives and Sealants:

Used in electronic component bonding, optical device encapsulation, and medical bonding. As a reactive diluent, it balances bonding strength and flexibility. Suitable for bonding applications requiring high transparency, aging resistance, and high adhesion to materials like PC.

4. 3D Printing Photopolymer Resins:

Used as a diluent monomer in SLA/DLP photopolymer 3D printing resins, optimizing the accuracy, surface quality, and toughness of molded parts. Suitable for rapid prototyping in areas such as industrial models, dental models, and creative products.

5. Polymer Synthesis and Modification:
