Tinuvin 622 Usage

1. Light Stabilizer 622 belongs to the newest generation of polymeric Hindered Amine Light Stabilizer, which has excellent hot processing stability. Terrific compatibility with resin, satisfying tractability against water and extreme low volatility and migratory.

2. Light stabilizer 622 can be applied to PE.PP. Polystyrene, ABS, polyurethane and polyamide etc, optimum effects are obtained when used with antioxidants and UV-absorbers.

3. Light stabilizer 622 is one of the light stabilizers that are sanctioned by FDA to be used in food packages. Reference dosage in PE agricultural film: 0.3-0.6%.

Light Stabilizer 622 Application scenarios

1. Polyolefin Materials:

Suitable for polyethylene (PE, such as injection molding, rotational molding products, films, and tapes), polypropylene (PP, such as fibers, injection molded parts, and flat filaments), and EVA, etc. It effectively inhibits photo-oxidative aging and extends outdoor service life, especially suitable for long-lasting products such as PE agricultural films, greenhouse films, drip irrigation tapes, shade nets, and silage films. It is also FDA approved for use in polyolefin food packaging materials.

2. Engineering Plastics:

Used in polyamides (PA, especially nylon 11 and nylon 12), polyoxymethylene (POM), polyester elastomers, ABS, polystyrene, etc., to improve the light aging resistance of materials, maintain mechanical strength and appearance stability, and is compatible with injection molding, extrusion, and other processing techniques. It works even better when used in combination with antioxidants and UV absorbers.

3. Polyurethane Materials:

Added to polyurethane (PU) foams, elastomers (TPU), coatings, and other products to enhance weather resistance, extend product life in outdoor or light-exposed environments, and maintain material performance stability. Suitable for artificial grass, imitation rattan, wood-plastic composites, and other polyurethane-related products.

4. Elastomers and Composite Materials:

Used in thermoplastic elastomers (TPO, TPE, EPDM, etc.), wires and cables, non-woven fabrics, PVC materials, etc., to improve the light aging resistance of materials, reduce performance degradation caused by light exposure, and is compatible with various processing techniques.

5. Adhesives and Sealants:

Can be added to polyurethane, epoxy, and other adhesive and sealant systems to enhance weather resistance, extend product life in outdoor or light-exposed environments, and maintain stable bonding and sealing performance. Combining it with other additives can optimize the effect.

6. Other Polymer Materials:

Used in polyvinyl chloride (PVC), polyvinyl alcohol, polyester, and other materials, as well as powder coatings, utilizing its low volatility and migration resistance characteristics to improve the overall anti-aging performance of materials, especially suitable for long-term use and applications requiring high migration resistance.
