1. Automotive Coatings:
Suitable for OEM and refinish paints (alkyd/acrylic air-drying systems, oxidative drying systems), especially high-solids, acid-catalyzed automotive clear coats and basecoats. It inhibits gloss loss, cracking, blistering, delamination, and discoloration of the coating, and is often used in combination with UV absorbers such as Tinuvin 384 and 1130.
2. Industrial and Decorative Coatings:
Used in solvent-based and water-based industrial and decorative coatings to improve the weather resistance of the coating outdoors, reducing aging problems such as chalking and gloss reduction. It is compatible with various film-forming substances such as alkyds and acrylics.
3. Wood Coatings and Varnishes:
Suitable for alkyd-based air-drying wood paints, stains, and varnishes. It protects the wood substrate and coating, preventing fading, cracking, and gloss loss. Combining it with UV absorbers enhances weather resistance.
4. Plastics and Elastomers:
Used in polyolefins (PP, PE), TPO, TPE, PVC, PVB, unsaturated polyesters, etc., to improve the light aging resistance of the material and maintain mechanical strength and appearance stability. It is suitable for processing techniques such as injection molding and extrusion.
5. Adhesives and Sealants:
Can be added to polyurethane, epoxy, and other adhesive and sealant systems to enhance weather resistance, extend the product’s service life in outdoor or light-exposed environments, and maintain stable bonding and sealing performance.
6. Other Coating Systems:
Suitable for special coating systems such as two-component non-isocyanate coatings and powder coatings. Its low alkalinity prevents reactions with acidic components, improving the overall aging resistance of the coating.
