BP-2 Usage

1. UV absorber BP-2 is a benzophenone UV absorber, capable of absorbing 320-400nm UV light. With symmetrical benzene ring and hydroxyl groups on both sides, it has very stable photothermal chemical properties. It is suitable for polyester, PVC, resin lens, fabric coating, especially for sunscreen products, improving stability and color fastness. The general dosage is 0.1-0.5%.

2. UV absorber BP-2 is suitable for: polyester, coatings and cosmetics, etc. In recent years, the application in the textile industry by the importance of the textile industry, the range is increasingly wide.

BP-2 Application scenarios

1. Sunscreen and Personal Care:

Used in sunscreens, creams, oils, and primers to protect the skin and active ingredients in the formula, enhancing product photostability.

2. Plastics and Polymer Materials:

Used in PP, PE, PVC, ABS, PMMA, PC, etc., as a light stabilizer to delay photodegradation, suitable for light-colored and transparent products.

3. Coatings and Inks:

Added to solvent-based coatings, automotive paints, varnishes, and inks to slow down coating aging, discoloration, and chalking, extending outdoor service life.

4. Synthetic Rubber and Elastomers:

Used in natural rubber, synthetic rubber, and elastomers to improve weather resistance and prevent cracking and performance degradation caused by UV radiation.

5. Textile UV Protection Finishing:

Used as a UV protection finishing agent for cotton, polyester, nylon, and other fabrics, enhancing the sun resistance of textiles and providing a certain softening effect.

6. Petroleum and Lubricants:

Used in lubricants, fuel oils, and other petroleum products to prevent photo-oxidation of components and maintain product performance stability.

7. Pharmaceuticals and Photosensitive Materials:

Used as a pharmaceutical synthesis intermediate for the synthesis of drugs and fragrances; also used in photosensitive materials to improve their UV resistance.

8. Adhesives and Sealants:

Used in solvent-based adhesives and sealants to improve weather resistance and prevent reduced bonding strength during outdoor use.

9. Other Polymer Systems:

Used in engineering plastics such as polyamides and polyesters, and composite materials, as a light stabilizer and antioxidant to extend their service life.
