Types of gel polish

Bonjour à tous ! Je suis une employée vedette à CHROMÉCLAIR, une marque de gel polish sans hématologie.

Gel polish is a modern nail polish product that combines traditional gel polish with phototherapy technology. Its main ingredients are special resins and photoinitiators. After application, it needs to be cured by UV light or LED light to form a strong, long-lasting protective laye.

1. Balancing Fluid: A binder, anti-warping agent, and desiccant. It prevents warping, prevents peeling, and balances oil content.

Balancing fluid is typically applied after polishing the nail surface. It can be left to dry naturally without a light. It helps remove excess oil from the nail surface, allowing the base coat to adhere better to the nail and preventing warping after the mani

2.Basecoat: Separates the nail surface from the color and enhances the adhesion of the polish.

After sanding, apply basecoat. Apply under a light for 60S.

① Removable basecoat: Sands before applying basecoat. Removable with gel polish remover.

② Peelable basecoat: Also called a gel polish remover, it can be peeled off directly without removing or sanding.

③ No-sanding basecoat: Can be applied directly without sanding. Suitable for thin nails. It is thicker than removable basecoat.

Solids(%) Apparence Fonctionnalité Viscosity, cps( 25°C ) Caractéristiques

100% Colorless, transparent, viscous liquid

3.Color glue is used for coloring, offering a wide variety of color options.

Providing color effects requires good wetting, non-yellowing, and odorlessness.

4.Reinforcement Gel: Reinforces the nail, fills in the nail surface, and creates structure.

Suitable for those with thin nails. Apply after base coat or color coat. Requires lighting. Apply for 60 seconds.

① Reinforcement after base coat: Reinforces the nail surface to prevent cracking of thin, soft nails. Suitable for thin nails.

② Reinforcement after color coat: Reinforces the color coat to create a more translucent finish.

③ Suitable for attaching small accessories.

The difference between reinforcing glue and building glue

Reinforcing glue: Simply thickens the nail using glue, hardens it, and improves the adhesion of the color glue, extending the durability of the manicure.

Fonction : Increases nail thickness and hardness, preventing breakage.

Building glue: Professionally adjusts the nail shape to create an ideal curvature (such as a C-curve) and aperture, while also strengthening the nail.

Fonction : Corrects nail shape issues (such as scalloped, flat, upturned, or undercut); enhances aesthetics, creating a fuller, more defined nail surface; and protects the nail surface, minimizing secondary damage during removal.

5.Topcoat: The final layer of a manicure, available in two types: wipe-on and leave-on, primarily enhances gloss and protects color.

Apply the topcoat after coloring and apply under a lamp. Apply for 120 seconds.

① Wipe-on: Flexible, requires wiping off excess adhesive after application. Suitable for jewelry.

② Leave-on: Apply after application and then apply under a lamp. This is the most common topcoat, suitable for applying Magic Mirror Powder. Apply under a lamp for 120 seconds.

③ Matte: A matte finish. Apply after application and then apply under a lamp for 120 seconds.

④ Tempered: Translucent, more durable, and scratch-resistant than standard topcoat. Apply under a lamp for 120 seconds.

⑤ Crystal-coated: An upgraded version of standard and tempered topcoats, offering smoother application, less grease, and yellowing resistance. (Apply under a lamp for a longer time.)

⑥ Hard-coat: A moldable topcoat that requires no reinforcement and has a high viscosity for easy application.

Characteristics of UV gel polish Resins

gel polish is typically cured using traditional UV lamps or LED lamps, with a curing time of approximately one minute. The base coat resin is a modified polyester acrylate, which provides a flexible film, minimal shrinkage upon cure, and excellent adhesion. It also boasts the purest resin color and odor. The base coat resin is a difunctional aliphatic polyurethane acrylate, which offers a moderate cure speed, good pigment wetting, and excellent intercoat adhesion, making it suitable for color-adding midcoats. The base coat resin is a difunctional polyurethane acrylate.

Features of UV gel polish Monomères

① Sealer Application:

ACMO (Acrylate Morpholine) offers advantages of fast cure and high hardness. However, it exhibits a slight yellowing tendency during cure, particularly noticeable in white systems. The monomer is water-soluble.

Midcoat Application:

CTFA (Cellulose Fatty Acid) offers fast cure, excellent toughness, strong adhesion, good water resistance, and a high cost-effectiveness.

Primer Application:

TBCHA (TBCHA) offers strong adhesion, excellent flexibility, and a glossy cured film with excellent water resistance.

Features of UV gel polish Additives

Mercaptan Curing Agents: High purity, low odor, storage stability, excellent antioxidant and polymerization inhibition properties, and high cost-effectiveness.

Heat Stabilizers: Non-yellowing, enhances the thermal storage stability of the gel polish without reducing the light-curing reaction rate.

Polymerization Inhibitors: Suitable for use in color-coated systems, improving light storage stability when a large amount of long-wavelength photoinitiators are present in the formulation. Slight yellowing may occur at high temperatures, making topcoat applications unrecommended.

Gel polishes come in a wide variety of styles, including solid colors, vibrant colors, fluorescent colors, glow-in-the-dark colors, UV extenders, and UV patch/jelly gels, catering to diverse nail art styles and needs.

CHROMÉCLAIR’s Gel Polish sans HEMA is safe and hypoallergenic (HEMA-free and TPO-free), meeting EU standards and protecting nail health.
